Wairau River is one of the largest independent wine estates in Marlborough, with first plantings in 1977 providing grapes for other wineries in the region including the famous, Cloudy Bay.

Wairau is Maori for ‘many waters’ and the vineyards can be found by the side of the river which gives wonderful mineral elements to the wines. Wholly family owned, their grapes are sourced from all their own lands and their state of the art winery produces elegant style wines that are quintessentially Marlborough.

Hand tended in small batches from vine to bottle, low crops and ultra-ripe fruit are utilised to produce premium wine that has become renowned for exhibiting intense fruit characteristics and classical elegance. Their Sauvignon Blanc has consistently won Air New Zealand Awards year after year, proving their consistency and desire to maintain the highest of quality.

This evening will be a fantastic opportunity to meet Dave Kenny of Wairau River and taste a range of Wairau River's fantastic award winning wines. This is one not to miss!
