Most European wines give us no clue what to expect when we pull the cork out - we're expected to know the grape variety and style of the wine but if we aren't experts how are we to know whether a wine will be dry or sweet, full bodied or light, fruity or tannic etc? This tasting session will help you to choose with more confidence and to understand the flavour components of wine. We'll focus on the old world where label information is often scarce and we'll cover some of the classic regions you'll find in many good wine merchants, shops and restaurants.
