Originally hailing from County Loais in Ireland, vocalist, Aoife Hearty, moved to Leeds at an early age. With a clear love of singing she became interested in Soul and Jazz, developing her voice at both Goldsmiths in London and music college in Leeds.

Over the Sun, produced by Joe Tatton, is her breathtaking debut album as 'Rodina'. Joe, who regularly tours the U.S. with funksters 'The New Mastersounds' and Mark Ronson's backing band 'The Haggis Horns', also played on the multi-million selling debut album of Corinne Bailey-Rae.
