Children's Face Painting in Aid of Help a London Child
Saturday 7 February 2009
Next March Alicia Bruce of local business, My Plumber, will be trekking 100km across the Sahara Desert in aid of Help a London Child.
Help a London Child is a charity that aims to help disadvantaged children across London. It has been operating for over 30 years, and in this time has raised £20 million. The charity provides practical and lasting support to thousands of youngsters aged 18 and under. Their grants aim to directly assist and give opportunites to the Capital's children and young people who experience poverty, have or are experiencing abuse, neglect, homelessness, violence or crime, and have an illness or disability.
To make this trip a reality and to raise much needed funds for the charity, Alicia is offering her services as a face painter and in turn is asking parents to donate a minimum of a pound for every face she paints.
On the weekend, both the bar and brasserie are open for brunch from 9am, with plenty of children's books, colouring and toys available to keep your kids entertained - so come and support the cause and make a morning of it!
