Street Party to celebrate the Queen's Diamon Jubliee

Following our hugely successful Street Party for the Royal Wedding in April 2011, this year’s Jubilee Street Party promises to be even bigger and better than the last with the Best of British food and drink offerings, live music and children’s activities.
Our aim is to emulate the same community feel and spirit as last year but on a bigger scale. We hope to create a fantastic community atmosphere and think this year’s party is set to be a real British celebration.

A word from Sam: Petition for pedestrianisation of Barley Mow Passage
Since we first opened in August 2005, I have been discussing with Hounslow Council the possibility of the part-time pedestrianisation of Barley Mow Passage. This is something that works in many other areas of London and could really add something unique to this part of Chiswick.
We fully understand that the local residents and businesses may have concerns regarding this and for this reason we are only trying to achieve 6pm to 10.30pm in the evenings and day times Saturday and Sundays (this would also only be for 6 months of the year). I would ask that you join our petition and give us your vote of support.

About Sam's Brasserie and Bar
Sam's Brasserie & Bar opened in August 2005 and is located in the Barley Mow Centre, just off Chiswick High Road in the heart of Chiswick, West London.
An all-day every day, informal neighbourhood 100-seat brasserie with an adjacent 55-seat bar, Sam's is spearheaded by co-owner Sam Harrison, who previously worked with Rick Stein in Padstow and in Sydney for two years.
Formerly a paper factory, the Barley Mow Centre was redeveloped in 2003/04 as office space for approximately 110 small businesses, and is indicative of how Chiswick is maturing as a desirable business and residential neighbourhood.
Harrison cites his experience with Stein as seminal to his independent venture, and, indeed, the feeling is mutual since Stein is an investor in the Chiswick project and acts in a 'godfatherly' way to help Harrison through the complicated process of owning a restaurant in London.
"Sam was my General Manager in Padstow for three years, and I saw in him a real talent for the restaurant business. From my own experience, I know how hard it is to get a foothold in the industry, and I wanted to help, encourage and advise in any way I could. I'm so pleased that he decided to call it Sam's as I know that he'll run the place in his own individual style." commented Rick Stein.
